Eileen McMillan
A Deep Purple nut, originating from Glasgow, Scotland, still with hints of the accent despite many years in Australia, Eileen is a chef by trade, a Shark Bay local of many years, a Mum to 6 children and Grand Mum to an increasing count of their off-spring.

Robert Blennerhassett
A semi-retired watchmaker with a family history in Shark Bay that extends some 50 odd years, Roberts’ claim to fame is as the ever popular salesman at Shark Bay’s Mitre 10 hardware store. A keen fisherman, with too much to do to have time to fish, and a reasonable golfer Robert is passionate about Shark Bay and would probably be very happy if he never had to leave it again.

Jane Garrett
The other Deep Purple nut and a relative newcomer to Australia and to Shark Bay, but was a regular yearly visitor to the region for over 10 years from her homeland of England; emigrating here in 2006 with her 2 dogs. With an entrepreneurial background in technology businesses and business management Jane returns to Cambridge yearly to mentor for the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning and works with Curtin University as Program Manager of Ignition (an inspirational program for aspiring individual, corporate, government and academic innovators).

The shires accountant and now a very keen sailor since the purchase of a small sailboat.

Des owns and runs the Denham Waterfront Hotel and spends what little spare time he has promoting the wonderful area of Shark Bay and fishing!
